On Tuesday night, the Culpeper boys soccer team faced visiting Thomas Jefferson in a Region 3B semifinal matchup.

Thomas Jefferson finished the game on top, winning 1-0.

The Vikings’ Delancy Gordon scored the game’s lone goal.

Culpeper goalkeeper Gabriel Barros finished the game with seven saves.

Culpeper head coach Stephen Kirsch was happy with how the season panned out, despite the disappointing ending.

“It was a great season” Kirsch said. “These guys gave 110% every time we took the field. We didn’t come out on top tonight, but that doesn’t reflect on how well the team played this season.”
