Culpeper’s Megan Heidebrect participates in the long jump at the Roanoke College Invitational last Thursday. Heidebrect won the event with a jump of 16-5.

The Culpeper indoor track team put together its best overall performance of the year at the Roanoke College Invitational last Thursday. The team posted 33 season-best performances on the day.

Justin Aggrey finished first in the boys 55-meter dash with a time of 6.54 seconds, setting a new school record. His time is also currently the second fastest in the state among Class 4 athletes.

Sidnee Addo won the girls 55-meter dash with a time of 7.80.

Megan Heidebrect took the girls long jump with a leap of 16-5.

Rounding out the athletes who earned first-place honors was the girls 4x200 relay team of Addo, Heidebrect, Kaitlyn Snuffer and Kylee Quinn, which clocked a time of 1:53.83.

Cameron Lacy, Trip Beaver, Isabella Hardaway and Kassandra Morales each finished third in their respective events. Lacy posted a high jump of 5-6, Beaver logged a 39-4 in the triple jump, Hardaway registered a time of 12:34 in the 3200-meter run and Morales reached a height of 7-6 in the pole vault.

The Blue Devils are coached by Mark Dennis, Aaron Keich and Toni Beaver.
