I’d like to commend the Culpeper Star-Exponent publisher and staff for their coverage of the recent election.

There were a lot of candidates and issues to consider. I think the coverage provided and the letters printed were for many the most helpful way voters could learn about the candidates. It highlights the importance of having a vibrant local media presence in our community.

One thing I suggest you would consider investigating in the future is providing an unbiased evaluation of campaign literature and mailings. Far too often, blatantly false or misleading claims go unchallenged and I think ends up impacting some voter’s selections.
