I've been a registered nurse for more than 40 years, 10 of which were spent working with several nursing homes and extended care facilities.
Recently, after extensive back surgery in Charlottesville, I knew I would have to spend time in a rehab facility. It was a huge difference being on the receiving end of care versus providing care to others.
In my experience as a caregiver I've heard my fair share of complaints, both from residents and families, many with justified concerns. Given all my knowledge I am exultant to share what an awesome experience it was to spend my post-surgical recovery at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center.
From the housekeeping team, to the dietary, recreational, nursing and therapy staff, all were wonderful. I can't say enough in praise of all of them. It takes each and every person to work together as a team in order to make this facility the great place it is. I want to humbly thank the staff and extend my appreciation to everyone who contributed to my recovery.
