Albert O. Poe Albert O. Poe, 87, passed away May 18, 2019 in the Hospital in Warrenton, Virginia. He was born July 8, 1931 in Fauquier County, Virginia to Oliver (Ollie) Poe and Eva Pearson Poe. Albert is survived by his first wife Helen Cameron Poe and their children, Steve & Larry Poe, also by Steve's children Trevor and Kalee and Larry's children Whitney, Lauren, and Justin. His grandchild Kalee and her husband have a newborn daughter Everlee New. Other relations include his brother Thomas L. Poe of Florida and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, as his father and mother raised 10 children. While growing up, he enjoyed playing baseball, hunting and hounds, and playing music. In 1954 he became the youngest professional huntsman when hired for Piedmont Hunt and later hunted for Fairfax and Middleburg Hunts. He was inducted into the Huntsmen's Hall of Fame in the Museum of Hounds and Hunting in Leesburg, Virginia, along with his brother Melvin in 2011. He also farmed, bred American foxhounds and trained race horses. Thanks to Clydetta Poe Talbot, Albert's niece, for her help with his financial and medical issues in later years. Albert had many friends in Loudoun, Fauquier and Culpeper Counties. Many thanks to friends Linda and Harald Malmgren for their care and support for him. Funeral services will be in Middleburg, Virginia, at the Royston Funeral Home on Friday May 24th at 1 o'clock. Interment will follow at Leeds Cemetery at Markham, Virginia. On Sunday, there will be a Celebration of Life from 11am to 2pm at the Virginia Hound Show at Morven Park, hosted by the Warrenton Hunt. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Huntsman's Fund at the Masters of Foxhounds Association of America at MFHA.com.
