Barvetta Lorraine Kinsey, 52, of Culpeper passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Novant Health UVA Health System Culpeper Medical Center. She was born October 10, 1966 in Charlottesville to Thomas and Lillie Bannister Tibbs. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Kinsey; two children, Octavia Tibbs (Mikey Dinkins), and Idasha Brown; four sisters, Barbara McGhee, Bessie White, Belinda Tibbs and Brenda Rojas (Emanuel); and three grandchildren, Kamari Dinkins, Cameron Dinkins and Maki Brown. Additional survivors include her mother-in-law, Mae Kinsey; three brothers-in-law, James Kinsey (Adene), Wayne Kinsey (Tasha), and Charles Kinsey; one sister-in-law, Cathy Jackson; best friends, Jojuana Wilkins, Yolanda Shanks, and Valerie Drumgoole; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many other friends; and her beloved pet, Louie "Killa". She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Russell and Bessie Banks Bannister, James and Helen Johnson Tibbs; brother-in-law, Jack White, Sr.; niece, Jemia Lewis; and father-in-law, Charles Yager. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 12 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Rev. Angela Dennis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
