Jean Elizabeth Good passed away on June 30, 2019, at Dogwood Village Senior Living in Orange, Virginia. She was born on December 3, 1930, in Gordonsville, Virginia, to the late Ellett H. and Elizabeth Davis Marsh. Jean was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William Shirley Good, Sr., and her siblings, Ellett W. Marsh, Jr. and Evelyn M. Davis Jean was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and held many positions. She retired from Verizon Telephone Company after 28 years of service and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, and a volunteer at Dogwood Village Nursing Home. She is survived by her children William S. Good, Jr. "Billy" (Eleanor) of Silver Spring, MD, Marsha G. Stewart (Ralph) of Fredericksburg, and David N. Good (Lisa) of Rhoadesville; her seven grandchildren Kate Dunnivan (Joe), Benjamin Stewart (Adelaide), William S. Good, III, "Trey", Elizabeth Stewart, Emily Stewart, Bailey Good, and Samuel Good; her two great-grandchildren, Gavin Dunnivan and Ryleigh Kate Dunnivan; and her sister Polly Davis (James) of Bumpass. The funeral will be held on July 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church in Radiant conducted by Rev. Kyle Balderson. Family night will be Tuesday, July 2, 2019 from 6:00 8:00 p.m. at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison, Virginia. Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Hope Baptist Church 2930 Beautiful Run Road, Orange, VA 22960.
