Lois Jeanette Gaines, 97, of Boston died Thursday, November 28, 2019 at Dogwood Village of Orange. She was born September 3, 1922 in Stanley, VA to the late Thomas and Mary Huffman Foltz. Mrs. Gaines retired from the Fairfax County School system and from Belk in Culpeper. She was a member of Novum Baptist Church and loved gardening. She is survived by two children, Mary L. Bjostad of Reva, and Vicki L. Cox-Williams (David) of Boston, four grandchildren, Lynn M. Goetschi (Erik) of Potomac Falls, VA, Charolette Coffey (Patrick) of Reva, Eric Bjostad (Angie) of Reva, and Brandon G. Cox (Frankie) of Culpeper; seven great grandchildren, Lauren Bustle (Nick), Neal Coffey (Jessie), Dustin Bjostad, Brayden Bjostad, Liam Bjostad, Chase Goetschi, and Grayson Cox; and two great great grandchildren, Jaxson and Easton Bustle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Gaines; and her sister, Janice Rucker. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Rev. Jeff Light officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
