Oliver Boyd "O.B." Colbert, 76, of Seattle, WA died of colon cancer on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at his residence. He was born July 6, 1942 in Rixeyville, VA to the late Will Mason Hackley and Harriet Ann Colbert. Mr. Colbert was baptized at Residence Park Church of Christ in Dayton, OH. He attended George Washington Carver Regional High School in Culpeper County and was a veteran of the US Army. He is survived by his former wife, Betty Colbert, a son, Damon Colbert and a daughter, Valerie Colbert all of Dayton, OH; a sister, Barbara Williams (Elfonza) of Fairfax, VA; a brother, James Hackley (Charlotte) of Forestville, MD and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers; Leroy Hackley (Ann), Melvin Hackley (Mary), Earl Hackley, Allen Colbert, Gene Colbert (Bessie); two sisters, Betty Gray (Tommie) and Charlotte Colbert. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Culpeper Church of Christ, 1600 North Main Street, Culpeper, VA 22701. Minister Mike Morgan officiating. Inurnment will follow at 12:00 PM at Culpeper National Cemetery, 501 East Chandler Street, Culpeper, Virginia with military honors provided by the US Army.
