It is with great sadness that Jason Matthew Buturla of Culpeper, VA passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020 at the age of 41 years old. Jason was born in Bridgeport, CT on November 23, 1978, the son of James and Susan (Dobierzewski) Squires, Jr. Jason was a long time employee of Masco, Inc. He was an avid sports fan, who loved watching the NY Yankees and the NY Giants. Jason took great pride in teaching his son about the game of football and cheering him on from the sidelines. He also enjoyed reading, watching movies, cooking for his family, and simply spending quality time with them. Jason was kind to everyone and above all, he will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband and father. In addition to his father, Jason is survived by his loving wife, Aliceson Blackstone Phillips-Buturla; one daughter, Nasia Zhane' Buturla (Brandon); three sons, Jayden Marcus Buturla, Jaden Alijah Eben Phillips and Justis Alexander Phillips; a sister Heather Hackley (Lynn) and two brothers, Daniel Squires (Phyllis) and Michael Squires. Additional survivors include aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other family members and dear friends. Jason was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Susan Helen Squires. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday, February 28, 2020 from 11a.m - 12p.m.at Horizon Funeral Home, 750 Old Brandy Road, Culpeper, VA. A celebration of Jason's life will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 12 p.m. at Horizon Funeral Home, 750 Old Brandy Road, Culpeper, VA. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper, VA.
