Culpeper Christian School is pleased to announce the graduation of 13 eighth graders from the school, which trains over 220 students in grades preschool through eighth grade.
On Wednesday, May 23, a graduation ceremony was held at CCS that included a number of presentations to mark the occasion: A slide show with photos from birth to eighth grade, fun memories shared by each of their four academic teachers and the presentation of several awards, including the Willis Christian Character Award, won by Bethany Eddo, and the Daughters of American Revolution Good Citizenship Award, won by Calvin Lenon.
Eight of the students qualified for the National President’s Academic Excellence Award, while 10 qualified for the Presidential Physical Fitness Award.
Nearly the entire student body and families and guests joined the eighth grade graduates outside as they each rang the old-fashioned school bell, capped with the CCS mascot – an eagle, for each year that they attended the school. Seven of the graduates attended CCS for eight years or more.
