A Culpeper man faces drug distribution charges following a two-month investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement, or ACE, team.
Thomas Lee Brown Jr., 26, was arrested around 8 p.m. on July 11 during a traffic stop in the town of Culpeper, according to new release Friday from the Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office. He was taken into custody without incident.
Brown was charged with three counts of distribution of schedule I or II controlled substance, conspiracy to distribute a schedule I or II controlled substance and possession of a schedule I or II controlled substance. The suspect allegedly was in possession of cocaine at the time of his arrest, authorities said. Cash and a 2013 Chevrolet were seized as part of the investigation.
“I’d like to again thank our ACE Team detectives for their many ongoing investigations and arrests this summer, many of which we know can’t be publicized yet due to suspect’s ongoing cooperation. The work of our team and their partnership with our Town Police Street Crime Unit is truly making an impact. Thank you to Chief Jenkins and Lt. Dodson for your continued teamwork!” said Culpeper County Sheriff Scott Jenkins in a statement.
