Culpeper Remebers 9/11
Partnership of Bugles Across America and the Culpeper Minutemen SAR will include salutes and the playing of Taps at 8:46 a.m. in front of the firehouse on West Davis Street, 9:03 a.m. in front of the sheriff’s office on West Davis Street, 9:37 a.m. in the Wine Street Memorial Park and 10:03 a.m. at the intersection of Main and Davis Streets. After a moment of silence, Taps will be sounded for a fifth time. A verse from “America the Beautiful” will be played remembering all the innocent citizens who died on 9/11 followed by “Amazing Grace” in memory Ken and Jennifer Lewis, married flight attendants from Culpeper who died aboard American Flight 77 that struck the Pentagon on 9/11.
National Day of Service and Remembrance
9 to 11 a.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery in partnership with Carry the Load. Volunteers are asked to come out and help clean the hallowed grounds where the nation’s finest rest. Closed-toe shoes required for this volunteer work day at which work supplies will be provided.
Culpeper County Democratic Committee
9 a.m. to noon every Wednesday at 206 Main Street, Suite 302. The public and members are welcome to stop in for up-to-date information, campaign materials, activities participation, and membership forms. Original artwork by local artists is also for sale.

Culpeper Medical Center Farmer’s Market
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays outside the main entrance of the hospital on Sunset Lane featuring produce and goods from local vendors. The market will run every week through October 30.

First responder prayer service & tribute
Noon in the courtyard of the Culpeper County Courthouse on West Davis Street.
4:45 to 5:45 p.m. at Culpeper Library for children old enough not to put Legos in their mouth. Children younger than 5 must be with an adult. Sign up in advance to come build with the library’s Legos.
One Village Prayer & Worship Night
5 to 7:30 p.m. at Tractor Supply Co. in Culpeper. Bring your own chair, friends and neighbors in support of the church coming together in unity. Event will begin with an hour of fellowship.
9-11 Remembrance Ceremony
6 p.m. at the Sept. 11 Memorial inside the Sumerduck Ruritan Club. (This is a change in meeting place due to the heat).
