Town of Culpeper loose leaf vacuuming

Ends today in the areas along Route 229, Route 29N and Old Rixeyville Rd. as well as the Belle Parc, Mosby Meadows & Hidden Fields areas. Loose leaves should be placed in piles at the edge of the street behind the curb or ditch line and away from parked vehicles.

Culpeper County Board of Supervisors monthly meetings

10 a.m. and 7 p.m. in the county administration building, 302 N. Main St.

Pen to Paper meeting

10 a.m. at the Culpeper County Library and 5 to 7 p.m. at Fran Cecere’s house. People attending are asked to bring a dish to share. Member’s significant others are invited.

Blue Ridge Art League

Meets 10 a.m. to noon Tuesdays in the community room (3rd floor) of St. Stephens Episcopal Church in downtown Culpeper. Artists of all levels are invited to enjoy the friendship and support of local artists: painting at the church, workshops, and field trips. Preschool Story Time

10:30 a.m. at the Culpeper Library for 3-5-year-olds. During story time, parents remain in the library while children participate independently. Stories, songs, rhymes, activities, and puppets are shared.

Homeschoolers Meet Up

1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Culpeper Library is an informal gathering for homeschooled students. Kids can play with the library’s Legos, some Keva planks and baby toys while parents socialize. No registration necessary.

Cocoa With a Cop

5 to 7 p.m. at the Madison Volunteer Fire Co., 1223 N. Main St. in the town of Madison. The Madison Strong Community Coalition invites the public to an evening of holiday cheer with Santa while honoring local first responders.

TOPS meeting

6 to 7 p.m. every Tuesday at Precious Blood Catholic Church, 114 E. Edmondson St. in downtown Culpeper. Virginia 0302 Chapter of Take Off Pounds Sensibly is part of a nonprofit network of weight-loss support groups and wellness education organizations.

Eastern View High PTO meeting

6:30 p.m. in the school’s main conference room.

Pajama Story Time

6:30 p.m. at the Culpeper Library. Fun and engaging program includes stories, songs, puppets and games designed to help children develop early literacy skills for kindergarten preparedness. Children attend with a parent or caregiver and are encouraged to wear pajamas. Registration not required.

Lights of Love

6:45 p.m. outside the Culpeper Medical Center emergency room featuring holiday music by Jewell Tone Music Children’s Chorale, holiday treats, hot chocolate and the lighting of the tree with lights dedicated in honor of or remembrance of a loved one. Sponsored by the Culpeper Hospital Auxiliary.

Got 2 M.O.V.E. Bible study series

7 p.m. Tuesdays at the Culpeper Holiday Inn Express with the Rev. Adrian Sledge.
