154th Church Anniversary & Revival

Macedonia Baptist is celebrating its 154th Anniversary with a revival and homecoming at the church, 574 Zachary Taylor Highway in Flint Hill.

Revival will conclude at 7:30 p.m. this Friday night. Homecoming services will be held at 11 a.m. this Sunday, July 21 featuring guest preacher, the Rev. Ronald Chunn, pastor at First Baptist Church in Nelsonville, Ohio. Lunch will be served at 1:30 p.m. followed by a worship service at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Johnnie Abrams, pastor at Harvest Assembly Baptist in Alexandria.

Friends & Family Day

Good Hope Baptist will host its annual Friends & Family Day from noon to 5 p.m. this Saturday, July 20 at the church on Norman Road in Culpeper County.

143rd church anniversary

Mount Zion Baptist Church of Alanthus will celebrate its 143rd Church Anniversary at 3 p.m. this Sunday, July 21.

The guest speaker will be Pastor Jeffrey Johnson of Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Fairfax. All are welcome for the celebration.

End of Summer benefit

Morrisville United Methodist will host an End of Summer benefit event from 11 a.m.to 1:30 p.m. on August 4 at the church, 4432 Morrisville Rd. in Bealeton, in support of meal programs for elementary school students southern Fauquier County.

The Moo Thru mobile van will be on site selling ice cream and will donate 20 percent of proceeds for the feeding program. Children 11 and younger will receive a free small cone, and the church will provide hot dogs and drinks.

Men’s Conference

Dr. Decker Tapscott and the Community of Faith Christian will host its annual Men’s Conference at 7:30 p.m. nightly July 25-27, with a noon luncheon on Saturday, at the church, 6472 Duhollow Rd. in Warrenton.

Speakers will include Bishop Michael Brokenborough of Household of Faith Worship & Deliverance Center in Ardmore PA; Tapscott, Elder Darrell Bailey and Minister Leroy Martin. Movie Night

Hopewell United Methodist will host a Movie Night at 6 p.m. this Saturday, July 20 at the church, 23518 Lignum Rd. in Lignum.

There will be a film and Pastor Mike Evans will be sharing photos from his recent trip to Israel. Popcorn and drinks will be provided at this free event that is open to the community.

Prayer & Healing Service

Reformation Lutheran will hold its next Prayer & Healing Service at 6 p.m. on July 27 at the church, 601 Madison Rd. in the town of Culpeper.

Homecoming at Rising Zion

Spaghetti dinner & bake sale

The public is invited to attend a spaghetti dinner and bake sale 5 to 7 p.m. on on July 27 at Stevensburg Baptist Church in Culpeper County.

Adults eat for $8, children 6 to 12 are $5 and 5 and younger eats free. All proceeds will support the ministry of Hope for Appalachia.

Missionary & Usher’s Day Service

Back to School Jamboree

New Fellowship Christian Center will host its 27th annual Back to School Jamboree 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 3 at the Madison County Young Farmers Field.

Activities will include face painting, a moon bounce, games, door prizes, school supplies and participation from the local DARE program. Each school age child will leave with a bag of school supplies. A lunch of hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks will be served. Everything is free and open to the public. Church revival

New Fellowship Christian Center will host a revival at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 31 and Thursday, August 1 at the church on U.S. Route 15 north of Orange. The guest preacher will be Pastor George Diaz from Massachusetts.

Honoring our Past, Equipping our Future

Antioch Baptist Church of Culpeper will host Family and Friends Day 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday, July 20 at Mountain Run Lake Park.

The Art of Parenting

An eight-week, small group Family Life series, “Art of Parenting,” will continue 6 to 8 p.m. on consecutive Sunday evenings through August 25 at Stevensburg Baptist Church, 19393 York Rd. in Culpeper County. This is a video-driven series designed to help parents raise their children from a biblical foundation. Anyone willing to invest time and effort in their parenting approach will benefit.

130th Annual Session concludes

The Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Association will conclude its 130th Annual Session at 10 a.m. today, July 19 with a Memorial Day Service at the Center, 15044 Ryland Chapel Rd. in Rixeyville. The public is invited.

Founded in 1889, the Association provides a fellowship of churches spanning Culpeper, Greene, Fauquier, Madison, Orange, and Rappahannock. The center opened in 2001.

Friday’s service will include a memorial sermon from the Rev. Dr. Bernardo Snipes, association first vice moderator and pastor at Greater Faith of Culpeper.

Homecoming & Revival

Antioch Baptist Church of Madison will hold its Annual Homecoming and Revival Services Sunday, July 28 through Friday, August 2.

The Sunday service will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by lunch and an afternoon service at 3 p.m. The Rev. Keith Sherard with Free Union Baptist Church of Culpeper, along with his choir, congregation and ushers will be revival guests.

Weekday revival will be begin at 7 p.m. with prayer and praise and the service at 7:30 p.m. beginning Monday and Tuesday with the Rev. Fred Sales of Macedonia Baptist Church in Colonial Beach. The Monday choir will be from Beulah Baptist of Eggbornsville and on Tuesday, the choir from Mount Pisgah in Tanners.

Wednesday and Thursday’s revival will feature the Rev. Micah Jackson of the Seventh Street Memorial Baptist Church in Richmond. Wednesday is Youth Night. The Wednesday choir will be from Ebenezer Baptist in Lignum and on Thursday, the Community Choir of Culpeper Baptist Church, under the direction of Craig Alexander Smith.

The Revival will conclude Friday night with the Rev. Joshua Cole of Union Belle Baptist Church in Fredericksburg and the choir from White Oak Baptist Church in Rapidan.

Summer Music Camp

Children aged 3 to rising 9th graders are invited to Summer Music Camp 9 a.m. to noon daily July 29 through August 2 at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 115 N. East St. in downtown Culpeper.

Men’s Breakfast & VBS
