Beulah Easter Service

Beulah Baptist Church of Culpeper hosted a sunrise service outside under tent at 6 a.m. on Easter Sunday with remarks from Pastor Kenneth Pitts from the New Testament Book of Luke, Chapter 24, a passage describing when women went with spices very early to the tomb of Jesus only to find he was not there. Attendees of the Beulah Baptist service came in hats and coats on the chilly morning followed by an egg hunt for the children and breakfast in town.

Church anniversary celebration

Immanuel Christian Ministries will celebrate the eighth anniversary of the church and its co-pastors, the Rev. Dr. Milton L. Branch, Sr. and the Rev. Judith Freeman-Moss, during a special service at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Horizon Chapel, 750 Old Brandy Rd. in Culpeper.

Mountain View Community Church

Holds services at 8:30, 10 and 11:30 a.m. on Sundays with Sunday’s sermon topic of “Better – Jesus is Greater.” The 10 a.m. service is live streamed at mountainviewcc.net. Remington Baptist Church will hold a bake sale 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday in conjunction with a craft & yard sale being held by the Remington Lions Club at its clubhouse, 11326 James Madison Highway in Bealeton.

Steak Supper

Mitchells Presbyterian Church of Culpeper will hold a steak supper from 5 to 7 p.m. on April 14. Adults are $12, aged 11 and younger are $5 and aged 5 and younger eats free. Carry-outs will be available. For information, contact 540/825-1079.

Women’s Auxiliary session

The Wayland Baptist Blue Ridge Association Women’s Auxiliary Semi-Annual Session will be held April 14, at the Pilgrim Baptist Church, 23390 Slaughter’s Mill Rd. in Mitchells. Relay for Life

New Salem Baptist will serve dinner and present live music on April 21 as a fund-raiser for Relay for Life at the church, 8233 Sperryville Pike in Culpeper. The music will begin at 4:30 p.m. with The Sheads Family and Pickin’ Daisies, and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Donations requested to benefit The American Cancer Society. Spring Revival

Beulah Baptist will host a Spring Revival at 7 p.m. every Wednesday night in April at the church, 9297 Eggbornsville Rd. in Culpeper with a theme of, “Count your Blessings.” The guest preacher on April 11 will be the Rev. Martin Smith of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Stafford; April 18, the Rev. Maurice Evans of Elk Run Baptist Church in Madison and on April 25, the Rev. James Brown of Mt. Spring Revival at Ebenezer Baptist

A Spring Revival will be held nightly at 7:30 p.m. from April 24 to April 26 at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Preaching on April 24 will be Pastor Harold Arrington from Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Orange. Preaching on April 25 will be Pastor Nathaniel Harp from Providence Baptist Church in Remington and preaching on April 26 will be Pastor Darnell Lundy from Main Uno Baptist Church in Madison.
