In partnership with Piedmont Environmental Council, James Madison's Montpelier and the National Trust for Historic Preservation have placed an additional 1,024 acres of historic land under permanent conservation easement, bringing the total land under protection to 1,939 acres - more than two-thirds of the 2,650-acre property! Join us in celebrating this remarkable achievement that will protect agricultural resources, forest resources, scenic open spaces, historic landscapes and views, and wildlife habitat at Montpelier.

This free, fun event begins at 6 PM and is perfect for the whole family - bring your walking shoes, a picnic, blankets, and chairs!
