road work (copy)

Traffic stops of up to 20 minutes at a time will be conducted overnight Tuesday, Oct. 8, on U.S. 15, 17 and 29 in Fauquier County as part of the Warrenton Southern Interchange project, according to a news release from the Virginia Department of Transportation Culpeper District.

Utility crews will be installing overhead wires, which will cause multiple traffic stops in both directions in the vicinity of State Route 880 (Lord Fairfax Road) starting at 9 p.m. Tuesday. All work is expected to be complete by 5 a.m. Wednesday.

Motorists are advised to anticipate delays in the work zone and reduce speed. Construction signs should be obeyed and patience should be exercised while workers complete their required tasks.
