Madison loses to Clarke Co.
After the first loss of the season, Madison County looked to rebound in their first district game against Clarke County at home last night. But it was the Eagles who went home happy with a 32-13 win over the Mountaineers.

The Orange Hornets used a 35-point second quarter and a strong defensive effort to springboard their way to a 62-6 drubbing of the Charlottesville Black Knights Friday night.

Eastern View falls to Courtland in overtime
Courtney Owens scored two goals for Eastern View, including one with 30 seconds left in regulation to tie the game, but the Cyclones fell 3-2 in overtime to Courtland in a Battlefield District contest.

Eastern View’s defense has star power
Madison came into Friday night’s game against Eastern View used to doing just about whatever it wanted on offense, averaging nearly 30 points a game and rolling to a 5-0 record. But the young Eastern View defense gave the Mountaineers a taste of something different.
