Deacons 26, Cavaliers 0: The CFA Deamon Deacons took on the Cavaliers at Canavan Field under the lights, to start their season off in the Bandit Division.  The Deacons, who finished last season with one victory, came away with a win over the Cavaliers by a score of 26-0.  The defense, offense and special teams all played extremely well, against the CFA Bandit Division runners up from last year.  The coaches were proud of the enthusiam and effort that the team put forth for their first game under the lights.  For many of the players, the game was their first experience at playing contact football.

Blue Devils 29, Hokies 7: The Blue Devils out of the Midget Division pounded the ball on offense led by David Laird and Kyle Suthard.  The Devils also played great defense and just two penalties in the game. The Hokies made it close in the second half with a long run to cut the score to 13-7, but the Blue Devils pulled away for the victory.

Tigers 34, Deacons 0: The Mighty Mite Tigers defeated the Demon Deacons Saturday, 34-0. David Routt scored for the Tigers on a 45-yard touchdown run and Bradley Crime had a 25-yard run and 45-yard punt return for a touchdown. Jacob Ashwell added a 35-yard touchdown run and Cornelius Minifield a 60-yard run to the end zone.

Josh Bennett and Mason Pfieff ran for two-point conversions. Korey Smith lead the defense to a shut out victory.
