The Cyclones tangled with perennial Battlefield District powerhouse Chancellor on Tuesday and came away with a loss, depite what coach Betty Jo Utz described as aa amazing effort.
Maria Albuquerque led the Cyclones with six digs, but Chancellor came out on top 3-0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-8).
The Cyclones (3-9 overall, 3-2 in the district) also received valuable contributions from Kayla Thurman, who finished with two kills and two blocks, while Shelby Lucachik added four digs and a kill.
Eastern View will be in action again Thursday at 7 p.m. as they host Battlefield District opponent Spotsylvania.
