Bayne wins boys race at King George meet

Eastern View’s Charlie Bayne crossed the finish line in 17:11 to win the Battlefield District quad meet at King George Wednesday. The Cyclones boys and girls teams each finished third behind King George and Massaponax and ahead of fourth-place Caroline.
Patrick Wallach finished 13th for the EVHS boys and Nick Sites was 17th. Jessie Gilman finished 21st and Josh Atkin came in 25th for the Cyclones.
On the girls side, Logan Clore and Justine Weaver each crossed the line in 22:35 with Clore taking eighth place and Weaver finishing ninth.
The rest of the EVHS girls were bunched tightly as well. Katie Batiste, Natalie Martel and Lauren Odend’hal finished 13th, 14th and 15th, respectively.
