Bayne finishes ninth for Eastern View at districts

Eastern View’s boys and girls cross country teams each finished sixth at the Battlefield District meet Wednesday in Fredericksburg. Spotsylvania won the boys race and Chancellor took home the girls title.
Though the Cyclones missed out on qualifying for the Region I meet at teams, which is next Thursday in Fredericksburg, Charlie Bayne qualified as an individual, finishing ninth in a time of 17:35.
The rest of the Cyclones boys finished in a pack with Michael Letz leading the way in 36th. Patrick Wallach was 38th and Nick Sites finished 40th. Jesse Gilman came in 41st.
For the EVHS girls, Justine Weaver was the top finisher in 19th place with at ime of 21:52. Logan Clore finished 26th for Eastern View and Antionette Hall was 33rd. Katie Batiste finished 34th and Natalie Martel was 35th.
