Coming out of a bye week, the main thing that Madison coach Stuart Dean was worried about was the consistency of the team.

His questions were answered 14 seconds into the game as running back Logan Terrell broke the first play of the game into a 60-yard touchdown run.

On the following kickoff, Madison forced the fumble to start a new drive and then scored on a pass from Will Taylor to Dylan Shifflette for a 55-yard touchdown.

By the end of the first quarter, it was clear that consistency was established.

It continued as the half went on. Late in the second quarter, Devon Boone made it into the end zone with 1:09 in the half remaining to make it 20-0 at the break.

The Mountaineers came out of the gates again in the third quarter with a fire in their belly as Logan Terrell scored another touchdown when he ran it in from one yard out late in the third quarter. Not more than two minutes later, he found the end zone again for a ten yard run.

He would finish his four-touchdown night with a run from eight yards out in the fourth quarter. Luray was able to get on the board as the clock began to run out with David Kling running it in from 24 yards out.

On his big evening, Terrell finished with 126 yards on 12 rushes and Devon Boone performed well from the backfield as well with 16 rushes and 135 yards and a touchdown. Will Taylor had 144 yards passing from the quarterback position, all in the first half. He completed 7 of 11 passes and had a touchdown.

Dylan Shifflette was the Mountaineers top receiver from the tight end position, hauling in four receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown.

Wide out Sam Utz had two catches for 32 yards and Logan Terrell added to his stats with a 20 yard reception.

The win now puts Madison at 3-0 on the season while Luray falls to 0-3. Madison will play Page County for the Mountaineers homecoming game next week. The Panthers are 2-1 on the season after losing Friday to Strasburg.
