Cyclones stay undefeated in district with 3-1 win
The Eastern View Volleyball team won its 3rd straight Battlefield District contest Tuesday.

Even without the services of co-captain Ashleigh Johnson — who will likely miss the rest of the season with a shoulder injury — the Cyclones defeated James Monroe 3-1 (25-22, 16-25, 25-16, 25-22).

Shelby Lucachik led the Cyclones (3-7, 3-0) with five aces and three kills. Tori Johnson added five kills and three blocks, while Kayle Thurman finished with five aces.

Culpeper puts up big stats in Cedar Run District loss

The Culpeper varsity volleyball team lost to Cedar Run District opponent Stonewall Jackson Tuesday, despite putting up some impressive statistics.

Megan Chamberlin led the Devilettes with 12 and seven aces during the 3-1 (23-25, 25-22, 21-25, 21-25) loss.

Kaitlin Carver added 16 kills, while Kara Connelly finished the macth with seven blocks.

Shanks leads undefeated Blackhawks past King George
Taylor Shanks scored 13 points to lead Floyd T. Binns to a 56-18 victory over King George Tuesday night.

Ciara Jackson added 12 points and Tiara Jackson scored 11 for the Blackhawks, who improved to 6-0. The Blackhawks will be in action again on Tuesday when they host Fluvanna.
