Devils hang on against Liberty
For one night at least, all the troubles went away. As the seconds ticked away, the Culpeper County High School boys lacrosse players and a few of their schoolmates streamed onto Comet Field and celebrated the Blue Devils’ first win of the season, a 9-7 triumph over Liberty.

Devilettes stop Highland
When Culpeper County High School played Highland in softball last week it took 10 innings before a runner crossed the plate. The Blue Devilettes didn’t wait nearly as long Thursday in the rematch, scoring on the first at-bat of the game and hanging on for a 5-3 victory over the Hawks. With last Friday’s 1-0 victory, Culpeper pulled off a two-game sweep over its rivals from Fauquier County.
