I'm writing in reference to the article Feb. 20 "Deputy resigns amid probe." I would like to know why you did not publish a picture of this person, Cpl. Jason Compton, for the benefit of the public knowing who he is.
I'm not saying he is guilty or innocent, but I would like to know what he looks like in case he commits a crime or another crime. I feel the public should have an idea who this person is.
You may have already done this. If you have, I must have missed the paper. This is supposed to be a public figure in the law enforcement, and he could continue to do this if no one knows what he looks like.
Editor's note: The Star-Exponent does not have a photo of Jason Compton. Because no charges have been placed, he has not been arrested or made to pose for a booking mug.
