Webb unresponsive to bailout questions

I am writing to all the Virginia newspapers in hopes they will print my letter to the editor. I think it is important for residents of Virginia to hear about my experience with Sen. Jim Webb.
Sen. Webb voted for the bailout bill, which everyone knows, was passed. I wanted to point out that after his vote for the bailout bill I contacted his office. I sent him four e-mails and have called his office twice.
Unfortunately, neither he nor his staff seems to read my e-mails. They have also not returned my calls. I have received three responses to my e-mails. However, these responses were “canned” responses and did not address my question at all.
I think it is important for the residents of Virginia to know Sen. Webb is unresponsive to his constituents.
My question is a simple one: How do I contact him in the future if or when my small business fails and I need the federal government to bail me out?
He voted to bail out big businesses that were not headquartered in Virginia. I would assume he would help a small business that is located in the state he represents.
I do not expect him to actually help my business or me. I do expect him to respond directly to my question and not with a canned and unresponsive answer.
Webb has a duty as my senator to respond directly to his constituents when they have question or concerns.
So I ask again, Sen. Webb, how do I contact you in the future if or when my small business fails and I need the federal government to bail me out?

for the record, someone I know had to contact the office of both senators because of a problem they were having. The email went out late in the day on a thursday. Senator John Warner’s office promply called the person about their trouble, Senator Jim Webb took days to send a form email. The writer is absolutely correct, Webb cares nothing about the people he supposedly reprents, just what you can do or give to him.

mst, my advice to you would be to actually look at Webb’s record before you open your pie-hole. He isn’t what the GOP tries to pass off as conservative but he fails to be a liberal by a long shot. I assume you didn’t vote for the guy becasue I assume you aren’t allowed to vote.

Sandra, did you vote for the guy? Did you contribute to his campaign? Did you host a tea? Sounds like you didn’t. So what makes you think you deserve a return call? This man wouldn’t even shake The President’s hand when given the opportunity. He doesn’t care about you, me, or anybody. He’s an arrogant liberal who only cares about other arrogant liberals who want to take your money and give it to someone more deserving like the welfare mom, the local drug dealer, the undocumented alien, etc. My advise to you is to sell your business and contact social services. The government will take care of you.

His office has ressponded to all my calls and all of my emails. I bet they know you didn’t vote for him. It’s really great that Cantor’s office responds. What would be even better is if he would actually do what his people want and maybe quit taking bribes, I mean campaign contributions from New York and California realtors and certain utility companies.

I love having Eric Cantor as a rep—he/his office respond to all contacts I’ve initiated.

Same response as me. No response. It’s very hard to communicate with your elected representatives when they ignore you. Myabe in a few years, when he is seeking re-election he will be responsive.
