Last Monday, columnist James Clements lamented "that our own Mark Warner is seeking another office in November," and he promises to discuss this further with us in his upcoming column after he takes another look at Warner campaign.
I have no idea about James' objections, if indeed that is what he means, but I remind him that Mark Warner, a successful entrepreneur, became an enormously popular governor and that during his term Virginia was rated "the best managed state in America."
I believe Gov. Warner could easily have been re-elected to a second term had one been permitted. I breathlessly await James' pearls of wisdom in this regard next week.
