Vandals violated my McCain sign

One day this week I came home from work to find only the wire stand in my yard where there had been a John McCain sign that morning. It had been a very windy day, so I thought the blue plastic blown up against the fence was my McCain support banner.
Imagine my shock to discover the blue plastic sign had Obama on it. The perpetrator must not have been able to secure the false ad piece securely against the wind. I live on rural U.S. 211 near Rappahannock County where the crime rate is thankfully very low. This incident was upsetting to say the least; I felt violated.
What has happened that freedom of speech is no longer respected? What kind of people are out there working for Obama who have no regard for private property?
The Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office informed me that there have been a number of other reports of vandalism similar to this incident.
What a shame that a presidential campaign has been reduced to this level of competition.
I know we will all be glad when the 2008 election season is over. I predict it will be remembered as a sad chapter in America’s history.

I have had 8 signs stolen that were on my property. One was “Veterans for Obama”. I know how that can make you angry. But nobody can steel my right to vote for Barack Obama.

This has nothing to do with the 1st amendment (freedom of speech). That involves the govt. forbidding speech. This was simply vandalism and happens to supporters of both parties, probably pretty equally.
