One would believe that only Hollywood could devise a parody where the Secretary of State (the third highest position in the executive branch of federal government) as spokesman for the Republican administration gives evidence of Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction. Then, Democrats claim that evidence to be lies delivered by Secretary Powell to justify war with Iraq and to mislead the American people.
And those same Democrats then welcome the endorsement of that same spokesman for their candidate for president.
To maintain sanity, the American voter can only laugh at such blatant inconsistency.
We can take from this curious turn of events that loyalty no longer has a thread in the American fabric and wonder what other values have unraveled. After all we are also expected to ignore voter fraud, millions of dollars transferred to organizations responsible for that voter fraud, patterns of associations with anti-Americans and expressions of contempt for America and its middle class.
Under the constant influence of a leftist media and mindless glitterati why should we not ignore a complete reversal of ideological opinion on the part of a previous secretary of state and assume all of this to be a normal state of affairs?

El Debibble,
I did see it coming, ask my wife. I wonder what you are going to do with yourself after Bush leaves office and you have no one to blame your life on.
Thank you so much for explaining to me the difference between “voter fraud” and “fradulent voter registration.“ It’s kind of like the difference between “use of a firearm with intent to kill” and “attempted murder.“ You are so smart and I am so,... well I guess in your opinion “not smart.“
Enjoy Obama’s presidency, Komrade.

BTW - fraudulent voter registration is not “voter fraud”. Voter fraud is when a VOTER tries/tried/did vote where/when they aren’t supposed to. You know that. I know that. everyone lese knows that if they take a second to think about it and don’t listen to you misrepresent the facts. You have managed to spout all of the current right wing rhetoric in a very small space. Congratulations, fear monger.

Jones, with your crystal ball why couldn’t you see that we were going to be in the mess we are now? Quit trying to smear everything that disagrees with your view and accept that W is a very large part of McCain’s problems. Keep in mind that W’s posse had Powell on his way out of office until they needed somebody that still had a little bit of reputation (good) left to sell their garbage. It sure didn’t hurt that he had actually put on a uniform and went to battle (people like that were scarce on the W team). Quit blaming Powell and place it where it belongs, on the lying chickenhawks that currently infest the White House.

I think you will find Big Brotherism will have expanded way beyond anything we see today. The fact that the media and education have become so completely controlled by the far left that any residual traditional values that have held us together as a nation will totally dissipate. Liberal control of the Supreme Court by Obama and Pelosi appointees will permit legislation from the bench and a complete revision of the Constitution. The terrorist threat domestically will have grown from potential to active because of Obama’s concessions. Our Armed Forces will dissolve because most patriots will refuse to fight or at least fight poorly because they will be poorly used and led. And finally Obama’s redistribution of wealth, tax and spend will so effect markets and employment we will go from recession to depression, and we will have become the Welfare States of America - what’s left of us. It may take longer than 6 months but that’s where we’re headed. Is that enough difference for you?

To grjones, I’m glad you took my comment as intended, I worried after I sent it that it might sound snitty. I have a real problem, I’ve got to get down to #8 in sucession to find someone I trust. I do not understand your last remark where you invite the poster to get back to you in 6 mos. I can see no difference between the future scenario you describe and the current reality.

Talk to me in 6 months if he is elected and let’s see if from your view within a socially, morally, and economically bankrupt country threatened by every rogue terrorist country in the world, and torn apart by social turmoil and Big Brotherism you feel the same way.

Fourth in Presidential succession (God help us Nancy Pelosi is one step ahead), but third in the “administration.“ And thank you, I’m honored by the comparison.

The Sectretary of State is not “third in charge”. I think grjones is really Alexander Haig.

Oh yes, Powell was Secretary of State(third in charge) and didn’t have access to the same intelligence as Bush - of course Bush knew the intel was wrong and Powell didn’t - give me a break!
Some loyalty should be exercised to those who trusted him to carry out the responsibility of high office. What possible evidence do you or anyone else have that Powell was lied to the extent that anyone involved was not mistaken? Do you seriously not believe that if there was a Bush conspiracy to lie to the American people that WMDs would not have been planted for our forces to “discover”. Get real.
Don’t play semantics like your liberal counterparts; fraudulent registration is “Voter fraud”. If you are going to register people multiple times or who don’t exist it is beacuse you plan to have them vote multiple times and illegally. Who are you trying to kid?
What career association with terrorsists do prominent Republicans have?
I ignore nothing, and I know subterfuge when I see it. Try opening your own eyes.
