1.The 10 cities in the U.S. with the highest poverty rate are run by Dems (according to powerlineblog.com).

2. The 10 cities in the U.S. with the worst school systems are run by Dems — this in spite of having more money per student than school systems that have better records.

3. Eight of the cities in the U.S. that have the highest violent crime rate are run by Dems, with Chicago (Obama’s home) having a higher gun death rate this year than Iraq.

LOL. Your “source” for your assertions is a political blog that favors John McCain.

If you knew anything about the use of crime and poverty data in this country, you would know how very difficult it is to compare different cities to each other based on their data. This is because different cities report different crimes and murder types. Same with poverty.

The only source that holds any credibility with analysis of nationwide social indicators is the US Census.

Silly republican. Trying so very hard to be smart. I am sure it hurts.

Put MFA’s last post with his letter and I think he makes a good point.

(El Debibble)I actually made several points.I don’t need to display “The good,The bad and The ugly.“ The citizens of the “worst” need to insist that their leaders search for the “Best” and emulate the policies that made them 1st rate. When they mimic winners, their lot will improve.

mfa - minorities often vote dem. due to seeing that the rep’s tend to favor big business, tax cuts for the wealthy, and the rep’s are often “against” the labor force (organized or not). Even in a moderately sized city, like Roanok, there is a dem. mayor, but they have strong city manager type government, according to published reports. Their council is mixed rep and dem. However roanok co. is STRONG repub. Guess what? Roanoke city has a much higher minority population and shows diversity; the county there doesn’t and it’s predominantly non-minority.
These are mysteries - plus right now, as far as the pres. race is concerned, many people see someone who is not the same old, old-white-guy establishment and lean the other way. It will be interesting to see the voter turnout in novem.

How many of the top 10 richest cities have Dems for Mayor?

How many of the top 10 school systems have Dem Mayors?

How many of the safest cites have Dems for Mayor.

Until you answer these questions you haven’t made a point.

(rjma)My point is:Minorities keep voting for Dems, believing that Dems will fix their problems.Dems keep not fixing. As a result school dropout rates, illiteracy and poverty are at the same level since the 1940’s. Look up “ten cities” on powerline.com, and “Learn it Yourself. Why non-minorities vote Dem may take me a while to figure.

Finally, someone who can digest information and reach the correct conclusion. From New Orleans to Chicago - from San Francisco to the District and PG County, democrat ineptness is on full display. It’s sad to think the party of Scoop Jackson, Truman, and JFK has sunk to this level. Can anyone explain why this happened? Don’t tell me it’s George Bush’s fault.

Almost all major cities have Democratic Party mayors. Most have a high % of poor people. That tends towards such stats. No one around here lives in a big city.  What’s your point?
