1.The 10 cities in the U.S. with the highest poverty rate are run by Dems (according to powerlineblog.com).
2. The 10 cities in the U.S. with the worst school systems are run by Dems — this in spite of having more money per student than school systems that have better records.
3. Eight of the cities in the U.S. that have the highest violent crime rate are run by Dems, with Chicago (Obama’s home) having a higher gun death rate this year than Iraq.

I guess Obama would like all cities as safe as Chicago, with more gun control laws to protect criminals. Since he likes neither guns or bibles he is out of touch with most Americans! And last “run by” is simply a term which means “controlled or operated by”, as Democrats are in control of Congress and have accomplished nothing, except the lowest citizen approval rating in history. Do we really need a President with the same values and ideas? I think NOT!

Yes the dems have ran congress and senate now since the last election and low and behold they have a worse approval rating than the president?!?! 9% now if they can run it into the toilet in a year imagine what they will do in 4?

Democrats stand for big government, give us your money and we will spend it on some new program that accomplishes nothing. Safety and security of our Nation are priority one, if you don’t have that all other things mean very little. I’ll vote for strong leadership, not wishy washy Obama.

So after searching powerlineblog.com for quite some time, i found the poverty rate list in the Forums - not on the blog. And even there it was a link to a different blog. That blog post was a copy/paste of some submitted content, which in turn did not cite sources. Despite this chain of shoddy research, i compared this list to the latest available census information and found that the lists do not match. What am i missing? Also, please explain what “run by” means. Mayor? Council majority? Business interests? Lastly - can you please cite sources for the second two stats? Cheers.

I am just amazed that the Mc Cain voters think that the Republican trickle down ecconomy has worked. Are you just hell bent on having more of the mess YOU have created? If you travel, it is very clear that we are moments away from being a 3rd world nation. In many places, such as the cities you mention, we are already there.
Next week the automobile industry will need the our taxpayers money from failing. We could have had very fuel efficent cars by now..but NO, we bent to the oil industry and built cars that suck up 1 gallon per mile. We have no manufacturing jobs left in the USA.
Don’t tell me that Congress and the Senate is under Democratic control. It takes 60 votes to pass a bill and there are only 50 Democratic votes.
This comming depression is 100% the Republicans fault. The first step to recovery is the take responsibility. All we ask “just stop thinking about how right you are…think of your children” and “FIX IT”.

(rjma)Dems ran congress from the 1940’s until 1994. That would be enough time to solve every problem we have, and then some. They can’t be trusted now to fix what they didn’t fix before.Watch C-Span and note the “Heavy-Handed” way they (Dems)shove Bills through without debate or vote. It’s Un-American.

(campino)Powerline cites it’s sources.ABC,CBS,CNN and NBC and most MSM print sources are less accurate and in the tank for Nobama.I am open to fair debate, but I refuse to school those that won’t learn.Kindly get a clue.

All that I know is this country is in a heap of financial trouble, and there isn’t a democrat in the White House. If there was a good man or woman who would make this country a better place to live, I wouldn’t care if he/she were a Democrat, Republican, or Martian. Middle class is dying. We are either rich or poor. It sucks!

I find it humorous that some think the answer to our problems is a democrat in the White House. Dems have been running congress for how many years now???....and look where we are people….WAKE UP
