I have a 20-year-old nephew who is in Iraq for the second time. He was just recently promoted to sergeant in the Marine Corps. He is from Winfield, W.V., but comes to Culpeper County nearly every year to spend time with our family and to celebrate Thanksgiving.
I happened to mention to the Realtors at Montague Miller & Company in Culpeper that I was sending a package to my nephew. He needed gloves, candy, magazines, food with pop tops and basic necessities. He does not want this for himself, but for “his men.”
I quickly had enough to fill two good-sized boxes of items to help our Marines.
I want to thank the Realtors at Montague Miller & Company for their generosity and patriotic spirit. This will go a long way to make Thanksgiving a bit more pleasant being so far from home at this holiday time.
