Random thoughts after the election

Now that the election is over, I won’t have to try to find a part-time labor job to pay the $8,000 a year for our health insurance.

I also have time to think while at the mailbox waiting for my check. I am thinking the tax assessment of real estate and personal property should be decreased to the market value.

I am thinking that elected members of the county supervisors, Town Council and School Board hold part-time jobs;  therefore, they should not be paid for meetings they don’t attend. I am thinking, perhaps the county and town may not need all the employees they had two years ago.

Are you thinking that you want fewer/less services from the County and Town, or that you just want to pay less for the same services?
