Regarding the letter Sept. 26 from Martha Dudley titled “Media should check Obama’s birth certificate,” the media already has done so.
Sen. Obama certainly was not born in Kenya, although his father was. The senator was born Aug. 4, 1961 at the Kapolei Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.
May I suggest that she look at the photo essay in Newsweek magazine, Sept. 1 on page 38?
She might also be interested in reading the Time magazine special issue: “The Democrats,” Sept. 1. Pages 46 and 47 state, “With roots in Karma, Kenya and beyond, the candidate is a genealogist’s fantasy.” The senator’s mother, by the way, was born in Kabul.
The American media, for all its faults, is not so incompetent as Ms. Dudley suggests.

Heather I am sorry that you feel that I am ignorant. But it’s your personal opinion and guess what, you are intitle to that. By the way, I am glad that your opinion do not determine who I am. I have a bright future ahead whether a Republican or Democrat is elected into office. I realize that need are in total control. Only GOD is in total control.

Ok, here is the bottom line. Racism in this country is not dead. Why, you ask? Because everyone is holding on to it. Many white people still have something against the African Americans and fear them being in a place of power. The African Americans still hold slavery against the whites and claim ongoing oppression to this day. The bottom line is this, why do you give a damn about color when we have people in “Our Country” who are suffering, who can’t feed their family, Who can’t afford their homes anymore? I am certain that there are people of all creeds and colors who have experienced many hard times.
The sad thing about the whole situation is that race will play a factor in the election. If we can not fix the hatred and racism that was created by slavery which very few if any of us were around to experience. What makes you think we are going to be able to solve a problem like the credit crisis “recession” we are in currently. We need to get past the issue of the color of someone’s skin to worry about the real problems that are going on right here at home and vote for the candidate that you believe will follow through with the values that this country was built upon.

What about the people that is McCain minded that want deregulation like the one that brought us to where we are now economically? Or McCain minded that is willing to support terrorist groups that kill and blow up abortion clinics where people was only doing their job? Or talking about a military career when their voting record in veterans affairs is some of the worst in the senate. C’mon any one has an excuse not to vote for Obama just make it a good one. Something like McCain’s health plan is better or McCain is going to buy all bad house loans, or even McCain is better handling the war but leave out the fluff and lame excuses. McCain is not acting coherent at this time and I know is not him, is the people running his campaign they are going to make sure Senator McCain loose all his credibility and honor. And that is a shame.

Then why aren’t people clammoring to live there? Why aren’t people breaking the law to live there and have children there so they are legalized? Why are our boarders overflowing with people who want a chance at the American dream….
Why didn’t our founding fathers subscribe to that theory I wonder?

I agree with you 100% in the other hand that cost money. You will never convice this people her because the are afraid of governmetn. Plain and simple they do not believe in social equality. Yes I have a little extra I am willing to extend my hand in help.

I have lived in Europe under “socialism” in Germany and France. Heather, you would really like it. Great Schools, wonderful businesses, long vacations and the best public transportation.
