McCain too tied to Bush policies to bring real change

I laughed when I saw the front page of the papers with Sen. John McCain calling for “change.”
I guess he’ll repeat that line incessantly from now in all of his speeches.
McCain has finally figured out that the American people are sick of the current administration and the way they are running the country.
What makes it funny is that he’s so much the same as Bush.
A senator for 27 years, McCain is most definitely a part of the Republican power structure.
Voting with the Bush Administration nine times out of 10 means he agrees with Bush.
We know that he agrees with the Bush stance on the invasion of Iraq and we have all heard him say he has no problem with staying in Iraq for the next “100 years.”
We know that McCain is in deep with the oil interests; we heard them all chanting “drill now” at the Republican National Convention in spite of the fact that our drilling now will not affect the cost of oil.
And funniest of all is that McCain talks of change when he has always agreed with Bush’s economics — tax cuts for the very rich and a huge increase in the national debt.
The only road to change is with Sen. Barack Obama, starting with his economic plan of cutting taxes for 95 percent of us in Virginia.
If we elect Obama, everyone earning under $250,000 a year will see a reduction in their taxes.
Now that’s change!

mst….What world are you living in? “The president only saved the country and possibly the world.“ That has got to be one of the most unrealistic, myopic statements of all time! If you really believe that then you need a reality check!

And all this without the help of the democrats. In fact, all too often they set up stumbling blocks with their unpatriotic behavior. All for the Marxist/socialist vote.“
MST I hope you are not talking about those over 4,000 soldiers that died helping the president.

Linda, I wish I was as confident as you. We can only hope. The president only saved the country and possibly the world. And all this without the help of the democrats. In fact, all too often they set up stumbling blocks with their unpatriotic behavior. All for the Marxist/socialist vote.

Hopefully people still care about the real issues. Not the lies that the McCain campaign is spreading. Even Carl Rove said they are going over the top.
