I have read with interest the recent letters regarding the local grocery stores and I feel the same irritation as the writers.

In order to locate all of the items on my weekly list, I must vist Food Lion and Safeway, and occasionally Wal-Mart. And even after driving from one end of town to the other, I end up without a few necessary items, such as palatable fresh fruit and vegetables, not to mention seafood.

My friends, there is an answer. Take yourselves to Front Royal, Waynesboro, Winchester, Stephens City or Staunton and visit a Martins.

Martins is owned by Giant and they locate themselves in smaller towns such as Culpeper. They offer a great selection of fruit, vegetables, meats, fresh seafood (imagine!) and every other thing you could need or want. They are no more expensive than grocery stores we now have here, and Martins far exceeds anything we currently have.

So, make a visit and see for yourselves, then call or e-mail Martins and beg them to put a store in our county. Salvation is at hand, fellow shoppers, but we have to convince Martins that we need them.
