Legal Americans willing to work too

In reference to Mr. Dippert's guest column Jan. 26 ("Some local groups are on a witch hunt"), I found it more than a little insulting to the American worker.

It was inferred by the writer that illegals are hired because Americans will not do the jobs they do. What intensive, rigorous jobs are in Culpeper that American citizens cannot do-

American workers can perform any job as well as anyone else, and they might even build sidewalks for the town, if hired.

The blue collar worker is losing the most in this equation, not the professionals. The employer who hires the illegal pays no taxes on this person and deducts none from them. Seems to be a matter of greed: The employer puts more money in his pocket, the illegal sends more money home.
