Jenkins should spend time in a worthwhile way

It seems to me Councilman Steve Jenkins needs to find something to do. He must have much too much idle time to go around taking photos. (“Jenkins renews call for enforcer,” July 21). Get over it, Mr. Jenkins; some folks just do not mind how they live.

If you were to spend time attempting to communicate and cooperate with the other council personnel and the Board of Supervisors, things could move along much smoother in Culpeper.

Stop all the bickering. Get to work doing what the citizens elected you to do.

Lawman, you’re not even intelligent enough to stick to the topic. And Brian, what “correct information” has put me in my place? Surely, not the drivel that is frequently misquoted and twisted by Pro-illegals in order to support 12-20 million invading illegals? Puh-lease! Enormous costs have been CORRECTLY reported by numerous people, but you’re the one’s hiding your head in the sand.

You are more than anti-illegal senseit53.  You have the habits of those that are such angry people with illegal immigration and slant all the facts to make a case out of nonsense.  I’d say that you have been put in your place with correct information and just refuse to accept what is true.  Continue to live with your head buried in the sand.  That will surely keep you from ever understanding the truth.

Keep up the great work LawMan.  Remember, you can talk to someone who is prejudice all you want but you will never change their views.  We must keep reminding them who they are.

It is you that needs a life senseit53.  Intelligent people can read between the lines and see through the facade you hide behind.  You must really be bored up in Hagerstown, MD.  I suggest you go re-think what you meant with your working over DSS for three days.  I am educated enough to read your line of constant lies.

Lawman, you’re a pathetic one trick pony. Just like the issues presented in the article did not cite illegal aliens, so has nothing to do with that topic, neither does my working over the DSS have ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT. Just another example of your lame attempts to attack anyone who is anti-illegal. Grow up!

Get a life senseit53.  Anyone that knows Jenkins and what he stands for knows that it it about illegal immigration.  Just like your working over DSS for three days watching Hispanics going in and out.  You are both two peas in a pod when it comes to prejudice and neither can even admit it.

Just another case of pro-illegals attacking someone who is anti-illegal. Even though in the article about Mr. Jenkins pictures he did not mention illegal aliens, the assumption was made and the attacks began. Regardless of immigration status, the things Mr. Jenkins cited most certainly DO effect the property values and THAT is what should be focused on. Instead people would rather attack him for doing what’s right for the community. This is a typical ploy of pro-illegals. One fool even played the racist/“prejudice” card…how typical.

I don’t see any issues with anyone feeling unsafe in town ktrick.  As a matter of fact the streets are quiet with people shopping.  Looks to me like we need to worry about people creating havoc here from out of town as I just read with the mob assault out by the Depot.  Same with other violent crime locally.

Jenkins himself cares nothing more than to make the paper and get press time.  I did not vote for him because I know of his law enforcement past that is tarnished.  He is not the man he presents himself to be.  Let him stand alone for all I care.  TC put him in his place.  So did the voters with this last election.  2010 we shall do the same when we boot him out.  We don’t need his kind in our government.

He is more than obsessive.  He is unreasonable, ridiculous and is misrepresenting the residents of town.  No he did not have illegal immigration on his platform.  He is a nothing but a country boy that grew up in Culpeper whos is prejudice and wants things the way they used to be.  The man can’t even hold a job as a football coach, police officer or at Cintas in the town where he holds office.  We need to get rid of the liability.  He created his own mess that we the voters can clean up come next town election.

How many people complain about him and also say they voted for him?

Mr. Jenkins is free to do whatever he wants during his free time.  I would like to know whether every single house he took photos of was occupied by Hispanics.

KTrick- Is there nothing in between nice town and slum town.  Is there any evidence that tourists do not feel safe?  And if so who is making them not feel safe?

El D says “Obviously the people who elected him wants him to do what he does.“  Actually Mr. Jenkins did not run on a anti-illegal immigrant platform.  At least he didn’t mention it to the Fredericksburg paper when asked his top three concerns before the election.  If there is any evidence that people elected Mr. Jenkins to “clean up” the illegal immigrants I haven’t seen it.

“Get over it, Mr. Jenkins; some folks just do not mind how they live.“

And then OTHERS, like homeowners and the people who dump millions into our downtown area to attract tourism, DO MIND.

When you allow one “dump” then two, then more, pretty soon word gets out that nobody cares and more will come.

Pretty soon, property values crash (even more than they already have) and people can’t sell their houses, because the town begins to look like a refugee camp.

The network is real. When immigrants find a hole, they line-up to jump through it.

Tourists don’t feel safe = downtown businesses shutting down.

Jenkins might be a little obsessive, but he makes up for the rest of the cowards who choose to do nothing at all.

It’s your choice: nice town or slum town.
