Did anyone think about the babies before voting?

On Nov. 4, America made a choice.

As we made our choice and we walk out feeling good about fulfilling our duty as Americans no more is thought about it.

There is one thing that should be thought about, however,  and that is all the aborted babies that will never have a choice.

Did anyone think of that before they voted? I did. If you didn’t, than life doesn’t mean much to you.

Ms. Pritt: it’s a tough call. Like other commentors, I believe people saw many issues at stake. The debate of pro-life and pro-choice will not go away any time soon. But, neither will issues like education, or our struggling economy, or our safety and security. Then again you might say what is more precious than a life that cannot speak for itself? But still, the world is not black or white, all right or all wrong - even if this debate continues. The blessing of this country is that your faith and your beliefs cannot be shut up and cannot be taken away.

I thought of the babies. I thought of the baby with cancer whose parents’ best hope was charity to treat their child. I thought of the babies born with special needs whose parents would struggle to find the help and educational opportunities to help their children fulfill their highest potential. I thought of the babies whose parents wondered how they’d provide for them with no opportunity to work, let alone earn a living wage. I thought of the babies, and voted accordingly.

Sadly, Ms. Pritt, most people did not think of the babies last Tuesday.

I’m guessing people were probably thinking first about losing thier house or the economy falling apart or thier retirment disappearing or losing friends and loved ones in Iraq or not being able to pay for healthcare or immigration or international relations or the environment or education or something that actually effected them. Thank God they did.
