Many Virginians have written to Sen. Jim Webb regarding energy and the need for our country to use all resources available to us. Sadly, the Democratic-controlled Congress has ignored the wishes of the American people and held us hostage to environmental concerns.
In 2004, I waited for a viable alternative to George Bush from the Democratic Party and was presented with a candidate of extreme liberal views. Again, this year I would have been interested in a true alternative.
Instead, I am presented with the most frightening candidate ever conceived — one who represents nothing of constitutional or American values, who seems likely to win only because he hides his true goals.
I have seen enough of his position changes to know that truth has little value to him. This is the man Sen. Webb endorses. Astonishing.
The Democratic Party appears to have become a corrupt party of thugs: Voice your wishes, you are ignored (unless you give generously); voice a different opinion and you are attacked as racist or hate-mongering; excel and you are punished.

There have been numerous “commentaries” in the past where the writer has written as fact some very questionable pieces. I’ve requested several times for the writer to provide sources - believe it or not, I’m interested in the truth. But the sources are not given. Where a piece of information comes from matters very much - obviously I’m not going to trust something coming from MSNBC, or Daily KOS. I’ve taken issue with some really nasty pieces written on everything from illegal immigration (being called a racist for what I believe) to, most recently, a paragraph about Cantor cleverly hidden in a piece that appeared to be about being ready for it all to be over. No sources, just exaggerated “facts” with a very nasty overtone.

So Geri, what exactly have I “dished out” and what exactly are you saying am I not able to take? can you be more specific?
If Mr. Berry has something concrete that he doesn’t like about Mr. Kerry or Mr. Obama, then maybe we can have something to discuss. The namecalling, etc. really doesn’t add much to the the discussion, now does it?

You write: “corrupt party of thugs”. See other letter today about
having “enough political rancor already”.
