The CFA Hurricanes cheerleaders (under Coach Christy Edwards) brought in the most food during the food drive about six weeks ago. They won $125 to have a team party.

Last week, we had the party at Ledo’s and only spent about half of the money.

So, three of the girls and their parents (Libby Fleming, Caleigh Edwards, and Zoe Dickson) went shopping at Target and donated bags of toys to Toys for Tots with the remaining money. They took it so seriously, spending forever in the toy aisles deciding which toys they would want.

It was really quite nice to see, and I loved being a part of it. They learned how to give back to the community in multiple ways through this endeavor.
