I would like to thank all of the people who helped make the ninth annual Culpeper Renaissance July 4th Car & Bike Show a success, in spite of the iffy weather forecast and the high price of fuel.
Some entrants drove from as far as Lynchburg and Norfolk.
The show, part of the town’s overall Fourth of July ceremonies, is directed and planned by CRI but staffed by volunteers and car and bike enthusiasts from all walks of life. Thank you for giving up part of your holiday time to work the show.
Also, thank you to our many sponsors, who provide both direct and in-kind financial support, without which we could not provide the many trophies, gifts and awards to the contestants.
In addition, we could not bring this show off if we were not given substantial assistance by the town of Culpeper and its many employees who prepare the streets and ensure all utilities are available. In addition, police personnel direct traffic and spectators.
Last but not least, thanks to the approximately 160 participants, who spend large amounts of money and time on their vehicles for the free enjoyment of the many hundreds of spectators.
