U.S. Rep. Eric Cantor, who represents Culpeper, needs to inform his constituency of the manipulation surrounding the Senate’s “bailout” vote Oct. 6.
He has neglected to compose any article or other explanation as to the chicanery of just how or why a benign HR1424 (originally the “Wellstone Mental Health” bill), was transformed into the biggest fleecing ever overtly perpetrated by Congress against the American people.
According to govtrack.us, HR1424 was “co-opted by the Senate as the ‘vehicle’ for the quick passage of the economic stimulus bill, by replacing the entire text of the measure with the stimulus bill.”
I must admit the strategy was very well executed — but as a public servant, Cantor has failed miserably by his omission.
