This letter is on behalf of all the cafeteria workers who work in the hot kitchens of Culpeper County’s schools.
These ladies work their bottoms off every day to make sure our children and teachers get their well-balanced breakfast and lunch served on time.
If you do a survey on pay wages for these hard-working ladies, you would discover that our school division’s cafeteria workers make less than those in some surrounding counties. I really don’t know why this is, but I think it’s worth an investigation.
So all of you mothers, fathers and teachers: Please give your hard-working school kitchen workers an extra smile, or send some flowers or a greeting card. Even a hug wouldn’t hurt.
These ladies deserve it! They’re loving and very wonderful people. God bless them all — and their aches and pains.
