The Business and Professional Women’s Organization of Culpeper is finding new ways to fund annual scholarships.
This year, members’ recipes were assembled into a cookbook called “Tasteful Treasures.” The group hopes to use the cookbook to fund the scholarships.
Each year $1,500 needs to be raised to continue this 61-year-old tradition. The $8 cookbook has been very popular.
The organization has worked for equality for women in America, advocating women’s rights laws and supporting working women in the community. It meets the third Monday of each month at Peppers Restaurant (Best Western) at 6:30 p.m. Reservations are required for the dinner meeting.
If this sounds interesting to you and you like to network with other women, the group is always looking for new members. You can be a housewife, a retired woman, a working woman or a business owner. It’s all about giving back to your community.
The following members have cookbooks available: Accent Travel, Reflections Hallmark Store and Mountain Run Title and Set-tlement Company.
