Here’s a suggestion. In future elections, the town would likely see a marked increase in voter turnout by using a bilingual ballot.

Why not just be able to text message? Isn’t everything about personal convenience? No, its about making an effort, taking time, being responsible. Voting is a privilege that should be taken seriously. It’s about priorities and caring for one’s future & the future of others. But until people stop being self absorbed & narcisistic you can’t expect a large turn out of voters. Its just easier to whine & snivel.

Mr. Veazey -
Let’s add French, German, Russian and a few others - be fair—must represent all potential immigrant voters.  It gets costly to constantly accommodate and appease.

America by founding and by history is an English-speaking-functioning country.  I would not expect other countries to change things for me if I chose to move to a non-English country.

Immigrants from anywhere, should learn to communicate in English.

To be a voter, one must first be an US citizen. One of the requirements of US citizenship for immigrants is a working knowledge of written and spoken English. So why exactly should we need bilingual ballots?

at least that’s in keeping with the TOWN COUNCIL LOGIC.  Good idea.

Here’s a better suggestion.  If you want to live in America learn how to read and speak English.

Yeah, that would have helped the HPC a bunch. No wait, those “people” are all illegals and can’t vote. But wait, they all have forged documents, according to HPC so maybe they can. Gee, what an entertaining thought.
