ACORN funding was spent wrong

ACORN receives funds from the United States and is using these funds to pay employees to register voters multiple times.

This leads to voter fraud.

ACORN employees who commit fraud should be arrested for accepting the payments that were given to them for other purposes.

ACORN needs to be fined, and future funding should be reduced or eliminated completely.

According to rjma’s logic on 10/22, yesterday’s DOW closing figures mean we should try to get Bush re-elected, right?
ANYONE, individual or group, attempting to tamper with the guarantee of an honest election should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.  Any group who engages in aiding with voter registration, especially if they are working to get more registrants, should be held accountable for the actions of their employees.  Another example of liberals wanting to shun personal responsibility when it is in their interest to turn a blind eye.  And I don’t care WHO is doing it - voter fraud is incredibly serious, and trying to make a distinction between voter registration fraud and voter fraud is like saying that someone who attempts to rob a bank but doesn’t quite pull it off is less guilty than someone who drives away with the money.  Do you honestly believe that these supporters of Obama were in no way hoping to influence the outcome of this election by slipping thousands of fraudulent votes in?  ACORN is guilty of very sleazy practices, and we have a man running for pres who has ties that are just too real for us to let this go.  The economy is hugely important, but what are we fighting for here if not the right for US, the American people, to decide how we will be governed?

rjma,

It’s amazing that you can be so dismissive of any corruption of the most sacrosanct activity in any democracy: voting.  Any suggestion of fraud should be thoroughly investigated and prosecuted.  Your casual view of US institutions equals Obama’s attitude and associations: abusive and dangerous.  And definitely deserving of attention by any voter still undecided.

For the record, please allow me to add 2 more cents along with the ACORN affair:

A Message to the “Academics” in Support of Bill Ayers

Three thousand and some so-called “academics” defend Bill Ayers from the security of “academic freedom” and seek to excuse a domestic terrorist who killed and seriously wounded innocents in the name of peace and “wishes he had done more.” They protect an Obama associate to protect Obama. They attack without conscience those who disagree with them, defend criminality, and distort truth as readily as they ignore it.  And they call themselves “educators.”

Those who are tasked with informing our youth cower in their ivory towers safe behind walls of tenure from any consequences of their acts, taking no responsibility for anyone’s welfare, expressing nothing other than self-righteous indignation at the exposé of a rat-fink terrorist who sneak-attacked his own people and whose only contribution to education was spreading of liberal venom designed to further a lie, cheat, and steal culture they have wrought.

They know nothing but deceit; they teach nothing but hate.  They bring shame to the institutions they represent. They desecrate the memory of anyone who has fought and died for the freedom they abuse with irresponsibility and hypocrisy. If they are educators, education has returned to the dark ages.

Voter fraud.  At least now everyone knows why Obama gave ACORN $800,000 in donations. Wonder if some of that money came from the donations Obama got from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac before they went belly up. Good ole Democrats!

As you can see you are not entitled to an opinion unless it agrees with Obama and his followers ...http://www.alamogordonews.com/news/ci_10780432

This editorial should be in every newspaper in the country ....et this be a lesson to you.
Carolyn Hileman

Don’t ask questions, you have no need to know. Don’t make waves, just go with the flow. Assume nothing, take nothing for granted, your rights and freedoms are no longer yours and there is nothing you can do about it. Do not think that you can secretly get messages out to the world of what is going on here, there are eyes and ears everywhere and enough supporters of this regime to turn you in if they suspect that you might be against them. Your job is to work and pay taxes, you are not considered a part of the policy making process, you may have been before but that is over now. Video equipment will be confiscated, internet services limited and telephone services monitored daily. Do not dare to speak against the regime or your life will be destroyed. Sounds like Russia or Iraq doesn’t it, sounds like something we have only watched on TV. But it is not a movie, it is not a TV special, it is not some book, this is for real and it is staring you in the face. We had been finding out rather quickly that what the Obama campaign deems bad is either removed from the air by threats of lawsuits or by replacing it with something much tamer. We have known for a while that there are certain things you are not allowed to say, such as his middle name, and you are not allowed to talk about his wife, but never in our lifetime would we have dreamed that one man asking a question would be treated as disgustingly as he has. It is not just the fact that the media made him sound like a backwoods, redneck racist bigot because he did not agree with the senator, no this went even further. They searched this mans trash, published the fact that he was a single father, now has the union hounding him, the media managed to get access to his tax returns, this man a single father is now out of work because everyone is afraid to hire him, all because he dared ask a question. It would stand to reason if Mr. Obama really planned to sit down with our enemies and make them love us, that he could have sat down with Joe and made him see the error of his ways, but instead he went on an all out attack on a tax paying American citizen, he used the media as the tool he is so used to using and systematically set out to destroy Joe’s life and why, because he dared question him. The very fact that this man was done this way should scare the he11 out of us all, his privacy invaded, his life turned upside down, for asking a question and Obama isn’t even the president yet. The strong arm tactics did not start there, there have TV stations threatened by his attorneys if they air a commercial stating he is anti gun, a woman in my home town had secret service visit her because the telemarketer said she made a threat, the conversation was not recorded there was no way to prove either side, but secret service showed up in order to silence this woman. The rights we have such as free speech have now effectively been taken away; we can no longer as the ACLU says, say what we want even if someone else does not like it. We can no longer ask a question of a candidate or disagree with them. If this man is willing to go this far to silence his detractors now, what will he do when he is in power? Shhh, be quiet, don’t talk to loud, don’t let your opinions be known, they are listening, they will come after you, let this be a lesson to you.

caveman823 - those are all great quotes, and certainly worth noting.  Just wanted to make sure you knew I was actually responding to rjma, and his request for me to quote one dem or media source who has helped with setting the stage for the excuse that, if Obama loses, it will be because of race, which could certainly lead to riots.
Really nice to read so many well-informed, well thought out pieces here today!  I’ve learned a lot, and it’s great to see so many conservatives and non-Obama worshippers jumping in.

Geriberi 3:18 pm, just a couple of things you missed. On Sunday, Joe Biden gave us all a reason not to vote for Obama. On Tuesday, when CNN’s Drew Griffin interviewed Sarah Palin, he admits that the media gave Joe Biden a pass. Dan Rather, on the Joe Scarborough, show says that there IS a media bias on the reporting of Joe Biden’s remarks.

Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the independent ‘Trust’ fund and put it into the
General fund so that Congress could spend it?

A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically controlled House and Senate.

Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax deduction for Social Security (FICA)  withholding?

A: The Democratic Party.

Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social Security annuities?

A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the ‘tie-breaking’ deciding vote as President of the
Senate, while he was Vice President of the U.S.

Q: Which Political Party decided to start giving annuity payments to immigrants?

A: That’s right!  Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party.  Immigrants moved into this
country, and at age 65, began to receive Social Security payments!  The Democratic Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime into it!

Then, after doing all this lying and thieving and violation of the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!

And the worst part about it is, uninformed citizens believe it!

rjma, if in fact some people don’t care about voter fraud, they should! It cheapens every vote. Maybe the reason people don’t SEEM to care, is that ACORN’s numerous counts of voter fraud in several states isn’t reported by mainstream media the way it should be. This is a VERY serious problem…far more serious than the stock market. We’re talking about serious infringement of our voting rights, with implications far more reaching than Wall Street. I feel the main reason it isn’t ALL OVER the media is because of Obama’s ties to it. But let there be no mistake, there is NO cause more important than protecting our right to FAIR and ACCURATE elections. NONE!
