A double standard: Illegals and skaters

Does anyone find it strange that illegals can live in our town, demand everything our tax dollars can afford them, and give back nothing ... without any conditions?

Yet our own children are given a condition: If they can’t wear a bike helmet, then our town (aka your tax dollars) will not be fixing a bike/skateboard ramp at the park for them.

How about this: Give the people who pay taxes and put you people in office what they want. Let the ones who don’t pay taxes use that extra money to help pay for such things as birthing children, health care, medications, road repairs and the new bike/skateboard ramps.

And you wonder why the people want to merge the town and county governments.

Opa you are full of it as a ‘christmas turkey.  You cannot see the forest for the trees.  when are you going to admit that the majority of Americans feel exactly as we do.  We are being taken advantage of by people just like you and your conservative(LOL) views(actually very liberal).  Let all the illegals in!!!  They have something to contribute.  WHAT!!!!!!  Please tell me.  I am not so unobjective that I won’t listen.  Just convince Me!!!!!

rogersk 6:37 PM, you have now twice said you were finished posting and each time you have again posted. Does this say something about your credibility? Brian (an attorney challenging your position) is a “little, misogynist twit”? You “don’t care what arguments (he) may put forth”? That’s obvious but what does this say about you? Bigotry? You claim his and my remarks are “unreaonable “? Read yours. You say you never thought when you became an adult you would be required “to support a bunch of lawbreakers, leeches, and bums”? You were as naive then as you appear now? Those you support are certainly not undocumented aliens who are in fact supporting you.  True, we may be wrong but then so are all the experts. I choose to bet on the experts rather than on right-wing journalists, you and the likes of you. You have “proven” us wrong? Pray tell how and when. I’ve seen nothing but “calls” supporting that absurd claim. BTW, what “misquote?” You stating that RL “had to bribe officials in order to retrieve his equipment” is one person (of others) who has stated that “R.L. tried to bribe” someone. Why should I or anyone else lie that we think our country is in “serious trouble with the influx of illegal aliens”? You without foundation think that. We and almost all experts based on many scientific studies strongly disagree with you. You ignore all evidence to insist that they “take from our children, our families, our communities, and refuse to give anything in return.” It is a baseless claim. The truth is that neither our ancestors nor anyone coming here today sits “on their cans collecting welfare, health care,” etc. No one coming to our country gets any of that today. Those things didn’t and don’t exist for them and to survive they have to do it themselves. I read and listen to what many experts tell me. But I identify and disregard the ravings of lunatics. Yes, some relatively few pregnant Mexican women do come here to have babies who are US citizens by birth. I am not “bamboozled”, as apparently are you. No, these women do not qualify for or “collect” any benefits. Yes, their US citizen children may qualify for some benefits. They are US citizens. Do you really believe that “10 people stealing from (you) is just as bad as 10,000 doing it”? I, my banker and I think most people strongly disagree.  I did not find your cited link “interesting” or at all “informative.” Newmax.com is a conservative website with a very questionable past. And the authors of the cited article are conservative authors not experts in any valid, applicable fields of research. Harlan K. Ullman is a political author, commentator known as a developer of the doctrine of Shock and Awe, known as “rapid dominance” and is a military doctrine based on the use of “overwhelming decisive force,“ “dominant battlefield awareness,“ “dominant maneuvers,“ and “spectacular displays of power” to “paralyze” an adversary’s perception of the battlefield and destroy his will to fight. Arnaud de Borchgrave (1926 –) is an 82 year old journalist born in Belgium who specializes in international politics. In my search for truth, I put no stock in articles be they written and published by the right, left or middle.

Correction:  No one said that anyone tried to bribe R.L.  Rather that he had to bribe someone in order to retrieve his equipment.  See, I made a mistake in my posting and I ADMITTED it!!!!!

OPa…You have shared nothing with anyone but a bunch of baloney…Your “facts” are not facts, at all, and you manipulate the written word to suit your own agenda when you should be well aware that you can,and will, over and over, be proven wrong. I’m glad you think you have treated me in a civil manner.  I feel threatened , as well, by your remarks and your hidden insinuations.  So you and Brian leave me out of any future discussions and I will do the same.  No one is going to ever convince you two that anyone else should have an opinion, much less a valid one.  So go ahead and do your “service” to the seniors of your community and see if the thinking people of Culpsper County agree with you anymore than we do.  BTW you don’t intimidate me with your talk of my commission of a “crime” and I reiterate, I also have a printer.

Opa.  I am glad you married a person from an immigrant family.  The bribe was paid at the border crossing so I can only assume that the money went to several.  Also, untill you get out of the country and actually go around the world, not just south of the border, don’t talk to me about embassies and what they do.  I have spent the last 15 years in them working so I think I know a little more than you.  What torques me up more than anything is my friends who leagally married persons from another country have to go through so much to get them legal status, yet they are going it, when in reality all you have to do is skip across the border.  As I said when you grow up and stop lo0oking through rose colored glasses, come talk to me.  Until then, don’t comment on what you have nothing but your opinior.  Come with facts that you have witnessed or don’t bother.  As I said at the beginning of this, talking to you is like pushing string, it doesm’t work.

If you can’t pull up the link from this, go to Google and search illegal aliens drain U.S. Economy.

OPA…You are an expert at taking things out of context.  You are attempting to sidetrack this debate with more of your nonsense when,( because you know you do not have a valid and viable argument) in fact, you know that your"facts” are, in truth, not facts, just more of your hype.  ‘why don’t you get back to the discussion at hand,( you and your cronies) and admit that this country is in serious trouble with the influx of illegal aliens( not speaking of honest immigrants) on a daily basis.  They take from our children, our families, our communities, and refuse to give anything in return.  Now you, and Brian, and any more of your obsessive cohorts can try and deny this all you want. READ and LISTEN to what others tell you without raising your hackles.  When OUR ancestors came to this country generations and generations ago they worked to make it what it is today.  When they came here, of course, they were considered aliens.( I am the first to admit that some treatment of the native americans was awful, so don’t come back at me with more of your righteous ideas) However, they wanted to make a decent, and free place for their decendents and they did this.  They didn’t sit on their cans collecting welfare, health care, and all the good stuff that people sneaking into our country get today.  Those things didn’t exist and they knew that to survive they had to do it themselves. I know that your reply will be that illegals cannot get these things but how about the pregnant women who sneak across the border to have their babies in an American hospital so they can be citizens by right of birth.  Do you think they don’t collect on all the good stuff.. You and Brian, and anyone else that you can bamboozle cannot, in any way, deny this.  If you are such an advocate of the truth you will have to admit this but I seriously doubt that you ever will. I don’t believe you have the capacity to ever admit you might be wrong about anything and you are so wrong so often. I am not going to cite figures because 10 people stealing from me is just as bad as 10,000 doing it.  Stealing is stealing any way you slice it or choose not.

R.L. 6:43 AM, I submit there is absolutely no way that you have a clue what I know about green cards and visas. FYI, I married a woman and into an immigrant family having them. How do you “know” the bribe you paid (I would not have) was “split” with the government or anyone but the one you paid it to? I think you are reaching. And, why do you think that incident has any relevance to our debate? My “verbal insinuations”???  And, I promise I’ve not and will not “split hairs” with you. Why and how should I care what happens to undocumented aliens in another country. It’s certainly of no relevance in the current debate. You write that I “know nothing and are not worth the time it takes to reply on this issue.” Yet, reply you do. If I was not intelligent, you’d confuse me.
